Florida Sunshine is waiting for you at this gorgeous vacation home. Sitting with a drink in hand, looking out across the lanai and heated pool, you can watch egrets land in the trees, see osprey dive for fish in the pond beyond and listen to the wind rustle the palms and bird of paradise plants.  Completely furnished, this holiday home offers a master suite, a second bedroom with a queen size bed, and a third bedroom with twin beds.  Each bedroom has plenty of closet space.  The two guest rooms share a bath, while the master suite has its own bath. All linens are provided.  The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with up to date gas range and cook top, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with an ice maker.  Cookware, dishes and all that is needed for setting a table is provided.  The dining room seats six comfortably.  There is a convenient laundry room just off the kitchen. If you enjoy family time, there is a game table for puzzles or for playing games.  The house has Wi-Fi. The master suite has a 32” TV and the living room has a 49” smart TV, both Wi-Fi  enabled.  There is plenty of seating in the living room, and both novels and non-fiction books on the shelves. 

The lanai has a dining set and extra pool chairs, along with a gas barbecue grill.  The pool is heated by solar heat.  Additional heating though an electric heater will bring the temperature up for cooler days for an additional charge of $95.00 per week.  The renter will be able to keep the temperature comfortable with a pool cover.   The lanai, enclosed in a screen cage, is screened well by the tall white bird of paradise plants flanking the perimeter. Note that the pool cage extends the whole length of the house, giving an unusually large area protected from insects. You can open the large sliding glass doors to the house and let the breezes blow through without worrying about mosquitos. Beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a picnic basket are available for a day at the beach, if you can pry yourself away from the heated pool.

Rotonda West is a “restricted deed” community, so no RVs, boats, trailers are allowed in the residential area. A separate parking area is available through the homeowners’ association. The streets are quiet and low speed, allowing lots of safe walking and biking on the streets. In addition, an extensive network of walking trails threads through the whole area. There are four golf courses open to the public at various greens fees. A grocery store is within three miles of the house, and more shopping is available in nearby Englewood and other towns. 

For those who want beaches, Blind Pass Beach is 12 ½ miles away, a great place to find shark’s teeth.  There are bathrooms, and a playground for children.   Englewood Beach is a little closer.  The parking fee is $0.75 per hour, so five hours is under $4.00, about the cost of a single Grande café latte.  Manasota Key Beach is a little further away, 18 miles, but a beautiful stretch of sand. Don Pedro Island, with a beautiful beach is very close, but it is only accessible by kayak or boat.  Kayaks are available for rental at “Hooked on SUP” and tours with guides are available through them.  Boats are available for rental through Gasparilla Marina in nearby Placida.  There are numerous other parks and nature areas within a half hour’s drive. With lots do to nearby, fishing, boating, shelling, beaches and golf, what’s not to like about this vacation home with a view.
